The construction of the social fabric depends on the possibilities we have to meet, exchange ideas, propose, and do. Our actions change the environment we inhabit and promote urban progress that is configured to guarantee, in addition, the development of our personality, community, and society in the public space when it is designed with and for us, the citizens.

Life in the city is influenced by the dynamics that each person develops in their daily activities and that they share with others. The development of urban centers is only possible if the City planning and design focus in human needs and in enabling the expressiveness and fulfillment of each of its inhabitants.

When this happens, conditions are created that bring people closer together. It enables greater interaction, more greetings, greater cooperation and cultural exchange. Cities that designate pedestrian zones, adapt public spaces for social gatherings, recreation, leisure, being and being; it brings us together in community and we manage to interact more in more diverse dynamics in the environment. He says World Bank :

“Sustainable planning, financing and management of public spaces, centred on people, are the key to unleash the potential of cities and build liveable, resilient and competitive cities for all.”

The balance between social and personal achievement, with the progress and development of a city, allows us to "overcome the sectorization of interests and positions, networking becomes strategic. This networking allows us to differentiate, recognize, incorporate new potentialities at a local level and promote social movement of community organizations so that they gain visibility in the social fabric” according to the Ibero-American Development Bank (BID).

Commerce, the frequent hours of some citizens to connect in conversations, play spaces, interaction areas and in the inhabited space when we are in it with a non-accelerated rhythm, brings us closer to identifying elements that give meaning and new meanings to space and this is translated into human quality and social fabric. In this sense, indicates the World Bank:

“Cities that successfully create and manage great spaces and places reap the rewards of the enormous value that is generated, which includes environmental and social benefits and goes beyond economic benefits.”

Living in the city at a different pace, as long as local governments allow it, generate greater community by providing an environment of exchange, interaction and frequentation that become natural within the dynamics of the city and this, in turn, provides new ways of perceiving life, making the city part of our nature; because the city can be molded to what we are and we can realize ourselves in it.

Developing our life with each space motivates us to defend, care for and promote spaces that are more in line with our social and psychological nature; because our environment also promotes the development of what we are.
