Face masks are commonly used by medical or healthcare personnel, but in times of public health crisis, citizens must use them as recommended.

Surgical masks are considered protective elements by the World Health Organization, so their use has a series of protocols that we must know, especially in times of crisis in the public space.

The mask is an element that protects against contact with viruses and bacteria that circulate in the air, covering our mouth and nose. It is also used so that those who carry a disease that can be transmitted through the respiratory tract can circulate in public spaces without infecting other people.

As they are a protective element, it is necessary to know when it is appropriate to use these masks, what types exist, how to use them and when to dispose of them. Using them correctly, with the respective hygiene measures such as continuous hand washing with soap and water, will help us prevent the spread of infectious agents.

In the following infographic we show you everything you need to know about face masks.
