Cecilia Maria Velez White

Member of the Board of Directors of Suramericana since March 25, 2015.
She was Minister of Education of Colombia from 2002 to 2010 and Secretary of Education of Bogotá from 1998 to 2002. In addition, she was director of the Regional and Urban Development Unit and then deputy director of the National Planning Department from 1990 to 1994.
She has been a visiting professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has worked as an international consultant on institutional development issues from 2010 to 2012. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Ecopetrol and several foundations.
Until December 2019, she served as Rector of the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University.
