Gonzalo Alberto Perez

Member of the Board of Directors of Suramericana since 2020.
He is a lawyer from the University of Medellín with a Specialization in Insurance from Swiss Re, in Zurich, and completed a CEO's Management Program at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago (United States).
Since April 1, 2020, he has held the position of President of Grupo SURA, a business conglomerate that manages an investment portfolio focused on financial and related services, which consolidates one of the most important financial services operations in Latin America.
Gonzalo's professional career spanning more than four decades has been linked to SURA. From 2003 to March 2020, he served as president of Suramericana, a subsidiary of Grupo SURA specializing in the insurance industry and in trend and risk management, with a presence in different countries in the region.
Previously, he held various positions at Suramericana de Seguros (now Seguros SURA Colombia). He is currently a member of the Boards of Directors of SURA Asset Management, Suramericana and Bancolombia, all companies in the Grupo SURA investment portfolio.
He also serves on the Boards of Directors of the SURA Foundation, Nutresa Foundation, Fedesarrollo, Entrepreneurs for Education Foundation and Ideas for Peace Foundation in Colombia.
